WebMeshing a rectangular pipe in ANSYS Hey, I'm trying to mesh a rectangular pipe in Ansys with an inflation layer on the inside. I'm trying to check how the inflation layer is forming on the inside of the pipe but when I take a section view, I get a messed up mesh which I believe is happening due to overlapping of elements. Web11 nov. 2024 · As I wrote in the title, I'm having some trouble with ANSYS meshing tool, which takes too long for generating mesh. Here's the problem: my geometry is a 2d rapresentation of a pipe with a single hole orifice plate; because of the symmetry I'm simulating only half of the real geometry. To draw the geometry I used the ANSYS …

Instead of creating a grid of cartedian coordinates and converting those to spherical, you want to create a grid of spherical coordinates, convert those to cartesian, then use interp3 to find the image values at those coordinates. Spherical coordinate grid could be something like meshgrid (0:maxR,0:phiStep:2*pi,0:thetaStep:pi).
Web1 jan. 2024 · The traditional Cartesian meshing strategy with and without the use of a projection factor is compared with layered tetrahedral meshing, which is newly introduced to additive manufacturing simulation. Additionally the displacement results are set side by side with a scan of an additive manufactured part. Web8 mrt. 2015 · You should be calling it like this: radius_matrix, theta_matrix = numpy.meshgrid (r,theta) Then you could convert to cartesian coordinates (if really needed) by typing: X = radius_matrix * numpy.cos (theta_matrix) Y = radius_matrix * numpy.sin (theta_matrix) Visualisation could be done on a polar grid immediately, using e.g. matplotlib: WebIn SPECFEM3D_Cartesian, the built-in meshing tool maps a spherically curved cube to a rectangular cube using the Universal Transverse Mercator projection (UTM). …
