Discussion … WebJun 27, 2003 · None of the Big 3 U.S. manufacturers have been into measuring rear wheel hp for use in advertising and product promotion - for bragging rights flywheel hp always exceeds rear wheel hp. The factories DO use mufflers etc since '72 when doing their engine dyno testing for flywheel hp - but they didn't do it that way through most of the muscle era.

But I don't get it.
