Allow to soak for 5 minutes then remove and allow to air dry. This "should" remove the stains. Apply a coat of standard light machine lubricating oil to refresh the appearance. Reply.

It was cut with wood working tools but could be polished like plastic. The micarta materials I have seen are noticeably softer than the poly-Ivory which I prefer.

Well, I have looked very very closely at CS strats that have darker dots and it's definitely a dye that has been applied to the micarta you can see it. Someone must know what they use.
